“If we do not resolve this issue, I think it’s safe to say there will be a request for a return of $140,000″
– Christopher Korge, a top fund-raiser for Mrs. Clinton talks about getting his money back.
“We have to do something, but I don’t know if this is even legal”
“My wife and I could max out, and we won’t”
The People’s Daily On Steven Spielberg
A certain Western director was very naive and made an unreasonable move toward the issue of the Beijing Olympics
This is perhaps because of his unique Hollywood characteristics
This renowned film director is famous for his science fiction. But now it seems he lives in a world of science fiction and he can’t distinguish a dream from reality

The Candidates On Cuba
Cuba’s future should be determined by the Cuban people and not by an anti-democratic successor regime. The prompt release of all prisoners of conscience wrongly jailed for standing up for the basic freedoms too long denied to the Cuban people would mark an important break with the past. It’s time for these heroes to be released
I think this provides a great opportunity for the people of Cuba. I’m hoping that the new leadership will take steps to move Cuba toward democracy, release political prisoners, lift a lot of the oppressive burdens that have prevented the Cuban people from really having the kind of future that they deserve to have
“We must press the Cuban regime to release all political prisoners unconditionally, to legalize all political parties, labor unions and free media, and to schedule internationally monitored elections”

Our constituents will look at us as the folks that slowed it down (and) added a bunch of spending to it
We didn’t block the proposal, we just said there’s a better way to go and there’s an alternative

No Lovefest For Barack & Hillary
“When it comes to Senator Clinton’s remarks, I think it’s very clear that Senator Clinton has and President Clinton have been spending the last month attacking me in ways that are not accurate”
“I believe that the events of the last 10 or so days, the outcome of New Hampshire and Nevada, have apparently convinced him to adopt a different strategy. He clearly came—he telegraphed it, he talked about it—he clearly came last night looking for a fight. He was determined and launched right in”
“Senator Clinton announced while we were still in Iowa that this was going to be her strategy and called it the fun part of campaigning. And, you know, I don’t think it’s the fun part to fudge the truth, the necessary part of this campaign is to make sure that we’re getting accurate information to voters about people’s respective records”
“I can tell you that never crossed our minds. That’s not how we think. It has absolutely nothing to do with a unified Democratic Party around a nominee and a full support for whoever our Democratic president will be. That is just the way it works.”
Are Oprah Fans Upset?
“Oprah is a traitor”
“I don’t think Oprah is a ‘traitor’, but I do think she may be alienating a lot of her fans”
“All the rude and hateful messages on here can’t be from Oprah fans, someone’s campaign is sabotaging the message boards”
When Candidates Get Pissy
On the one hand, you have the Reagan revolution. You have the Reagan coalition of limited government and strong national security. On the other hand, you have the direction that Governor Huckabee would take us in.
Eight years is a pretty long time to get a check from the federal government and not be able to say he passed a major bill
“I can out-poor any of them. “I grew up under more modest circumstances than anybody on that stage”
An Imaginary Adviser
