Jacques Rogge Says, “Leave China Alone!”

“We all know that there were abuses under Mao and the Cultural Revolution was not a nice period. But gradually, steadily, over 60 years, they evolved, and they were able to introduce a lot of changes”

I see one problem with Mr. Rogge’s comments. While “modern” China might have started in 1949, they have had 2,229 years to make a change for the better. True, things have improved since Mao and the Cultural Revolution, but you’d think people within China would be more prone to change for the better because of the past.
