Jacques Rogge Says, “Leave China Alone!”
“We owe China to give them time”
“It took us 200 years to evolve from the French Revolution. China started in 1949″
“We all know that there were abuses under Mao and the Cultural Revolution was not a nice period. But gradually, steadily, over 60 years, they evolved, and they were able to introduce a lot of changes”
I see one problem with Mr. Rogge’s comments. While “modern” China might have started in 1949, they have had 2,229 years to make a change for the better. True, things have improved since Mao and the Cultural Revolution, but you’d think people within China would be more prone to change for the better because of the past.

Alan Greenspan, One Day Later
Yesterday, he said there was a 50 percent chance we were in a recession, today, we are in one.
I have no regrets on any of the Federal Reserve policies that we initiated back then because I think they were very professionally done
Clearly, certain of our anticipations of what would happen as a consequence of those policies were off but there’s no way of avoiding that
Consumers are beginning to shrink in, the automobile markets are beginning to contract, production is beginning to ease, and we are in the throes of recession
Everyone listens to Greenspan. Heck they listen to him more than they listen to the current Fed chairman. Get ready people, the roller coaster is about to drop again.
