– Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) talks about the plan to raise cigarette taxes from 30 cents per pack to $1 per pack to pay for children’s health insurance coverage.

“The health of the children is extremely important”

– Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) talks about the importance of children’s health at the expense of all the poor people the Democrats are supposed to be representing.

“In the long run, maybe it’ll stop people from smoking.”

– Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) talks about his case of wishful thinking.

Isn’t it funny that Democrats like Harry Reid think it’s “worth it” hit poor communities disproportionately when it comes to taxes on cigarettes, and they don’t think tax cuts help those same people?
